Lucknow, February 28 (IANS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is going to give a big gift to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (Ayushman Card). Ayushman card holders will be provided treatment facilities in all the cantonment hospitals of the state.
For this, soon the State Health Agency (Sachij) will sign MoU with 12 cantonment hospitals. There are a total of 13 cantonment hospitals in the state. Ayushman card holders are already being treated in Prayagraj Cantonment Hospital. Seeing the successful results of this, the Yogi government has decided to provide treatment to Ayushman card holders in other cantonment hospitals of the state.
Sachij CEO Archana Verma said that from January 26, Ayushman card holders are being treated free of cost in the Cantonment Hospital of Prayagraj. There, patients are being provided treatment facilities for serious diseases like cardiology, nephrology, medical and surgical oncology etc. Along with this, the facility of free OPD appointment, free testing and free transportation to serious patients is being provided, which has yielded successful results.
In this series, MoU will be signed with other 12 cantonment hospitals of the state. For this, almost all the formal processes have been completed by the State Health Agency (Sachij). He said that after the MoU, treatment of patients holding Ayushman cards will be ensured in the cantonment hospitals of Lucknow, Kanpur, Meerut, Bareilly, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Shahjahanpur, Mathura, Agra, Fatehpur, Jhansi and Babina. With the addition of these hospitals, the number of empaneled hospitals under Ayushman Yojana in the state will further increase.
ACEO of Sachij, Dr. Pooja Yadav said that coordination with cantonment hospitals will provide better specialist services to Ayushman card holders. Especially patients suffering from serious and complex diseases will be able to get high level medical care. Along with this, pick and drop facility will also be made available for serious patients, so that patients from economically weaker section do not have to face any problem in reaching the hospital.
He informed that the necessary procedures in all the cantonment hospitals are being adapted as per the Ayushman scheme. After the MOU, these hospitals will be linked to the portal of the scheme, so that the process of treatment, billing and claim settlement of patients can be completed in a transparent and time bound manner. With the initiative of Yogi government, common citizens will also get the benefit of modern medical facilities of army sector hospitals. Besides, the pressure on health services will also be balanced. The decision to link cantonment hospitals with Ayushman Yojana will prove to be a big relief for poor and needy citizens.
