After this he handed over a letter signed by 20 MPs to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Kakoli claimed to form a separate faction. It is noteworthy that Trinamool has a total of 28 MPs in the Lok Sabha.
Resignation of two Rajya Sabha MPs
On Monday, June 8, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sukhendu Shekhar Roy resigned. The resignation was given when TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee was attending the meeting of the Indian alliance in Delhi. Two days later, on Wednesday, June 10, Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev also left TMC. Sushmita joined Trinamool Congress in 2021, before that she was in the Congress party.
