Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken a big decision regarding the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 to be held in the month of November. Now the voters of Bihar living in Uttar Pradesh will be given leave on the day of voting, so that they can go to their home state and fully participate in this festival of democracy. Principal Secretary of General Administration Department, Manish Chauhan has given instructions in this regard.
This decision of the government will provide great relief to lakhs of laborers, employees and other workers hailing from Bihar, who reside in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for employment or job. According to the order, paid leave will be provided to the concerned voters on the polling days of Bihar elections on 6th November and 11th November 2025.
Special preparations in border districts
A large number of voters from Bihar live in the border districts of Uttar Pradesh like Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Ghazipur, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar and Maharajganj etc. In such a situation, the administration has ordered all the District Magistrates of these districts to ensure as soon as possible that no eligible person faces any problem in going to his home to vote.
This order will be applied not only to government employees but also to the voters of Bihar working in private sector workers, industrial units, offices and institutions. This means that the employees whose names are registered in the voter list of Bihar will get full leave rights on the voting day.
Big initiative to strengthen democracy
According to administrative sources, this decision has been taken on the basis of the orders of the Election Commission. Its objective is to encourage more and more people to vote. This time in Bihar elections, there is every possibility of a large number of voters from many border districts going to Bihar.
