Bihar Elections: JDU released second list of 44 candidates, these names were approved

Janata Dal (United) on Thursday released its second list of 44 candidates for Bihar Assembly elections 2025. With this, the party has announced its candidates for all the 101 seats allotted to it in the final seat sharing within the NDA.

According to the list, Dharendra Pratap Singh alias Rinku Singh from Valmikinagar, Samridh Verma from Sikta, Vishal Shah from Narkatiya, Shalini Mishra from Kesariya, Shweta Gupta from Shivhar and Nagendra Raut from Sursand have got the ticket.

Earlier, JDU on Wednesday released its first list of 57 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The party has nominated JDU state president Umesh Kushwaha from Mehnar, Bihar Rural Development Minister Shravan Kumar from Nalanda and Sunil Kumar from Bhore (SU) for the Bihar Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, the Rashtriya Lok Morcha led by former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Upendra Kushwaha released its list of six candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

The party has announced six candidates from different districts for the state assembly elections. According to the official release issued by state general secretary Subhash Chandravanshi, Tittu has been fielded from Basopatti assembly seat in Siwan district. Mayank Anand will contest from Madhubani and Alok Kumar Singh will contest from Dinara assembly seat in Rohtas district.

The list also includes Prashant Kumar Paswan from Ujiarpur in Samastipur, Meenakshi from Sasaram in Rohtas and another candidate named Titu from Paru in Muzaffarpur.

Earlier, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released the second list of 12 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, taking the total number of candidates declared to 83 out of the 101 seats allotted to the party in the final seat-sharing within the NDA.

The ruling NDA decided to distribute tickets on Sunday. BJP and JDU will contest on 101 seats each, while Ram Vilas’s Lok Janshakti Party will contest on 29 seats. Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) will contest on six seats each.

Voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held on November 6 and November 11, while the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
