BJP can seal the names of candidates for Bihar elections, meeting at JP Nadda’s residence

बिहार चुनाव के लिए भाजपा लगा सकती है उम्मीदवारों के नामों पर मुहर, जेपी नड्डा के आवास पर बैठक

New Delhi, October 11 (IANS). An important meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) core group will be held on Saturday regarding Bihar Assembly elections. This meeting will be held at the residence of party national president JP Nadda. It will include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, senior leaders of Bihar BJP and key members of the party core group.

This high-level meeting is taking place at a time when the formal announcement of seat sharing by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is to be made in Patna on Saturday.

According to sources, the main agenda of the BJP core group meeting is to finalize the list of candidates for the seats allotted to the party under the NDA formula.

The election committee of Bihar BJP has already submitted the panel of probable candidates to the central leadership. According to party insiders, the first list of candidates may be released by October 13. The special thing is that this list can come out not only as a joint list of BJP but also of NDA.

Before the announcement of seat sharing, NDA’s allies are adopting a soft stance. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief and Union minister Chirag Paswan, who had earlier demanded 40 seats, indicated that a consensus would be reached soon.

Expressing confidence in the BJP’s central leadership, he said, “When my Prime Minister is present, I have nothing to worry about.” It is noteworthy that LJP (Ram Vilas), which did not contest the elections with NDA in 2020, is now rejoining the alliance.

There is also talk that Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) president and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi, whose party had won four of the seven seats it contested in 2020, is demanding 15 seats this time. However, there is doubt whether this demand will be fully accepted or not. Sources say that both Chirag Paswan and Manjhi may accept the final formula after the intervention of top BJP leaders.

Let us tell you that Bihar Assembly elections will be held in two phases on 6th and 11th November and the results will be declared on 14th November.
