Guwahati, June 15 (IANS). BJP’s organizational activities have gained momentum in Assam ahead of the upcoming political programs. An important district level meeting was held in Charaideo district of Upper Assam on Monday.
The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia, who addressed party workers and office-bearers after the organizational session.
Many senior party leaders and officials were also present in the meeting.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Saikia said the party has decided to strengthen its organizational structure through regular meetings at every level, from district committees to mandals, Shakti Kendras, booths and various cells and departments.
He said that we are keen to organize meetings for district committees, mandals, Shakti Kendras, booths and departmental units on a fixed day every month so that the message and programs of the party can effectively reach the workers at every level.
He said the BJP leadership aims to ensure seamless communication between the top leadership of the party and grassroots workers across Assam through a well-planned and disciplined organizational mechanism.
Referring to the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre, Saikia described this period as full of confidence, development and public welfare.
He said that the 12-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been dedicated to the principles of trust, development and public welfare. The achievements of this period have transformed the governance landscape of the country and instilled confidence among the citizens.
Saikia also highlighted the BJP’s electoral success in Assam and pointed out that the party has been in power in the state since 2016.
He credited both former Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and current Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma for carrying forward the development agenda in the state.
According to Saikia, the BJP will continue to expand its organizational reach and strengthen its connect with the public through continued grassroots contact, as well as publicizing the achievements of both the Central and Assam governments.
