Senior Congress leader and MP Rajiv Shukla on Friday alleged that the BJP is betraying Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that it has become clear from the statement of Union Home Minister Amit Shah that after the elections only the MLAs will decide the Chief Minister.
Shukla was talking to journalists in a local hotel. He claimed that this time a grand alliance government will be formed in Bihar. He said, “The increase in voting percentage in the first phase is a clear indication that the people want change and are voting to change the government.”
The Congress leader said, “We do what we say. As promised, one member of every family will be given a government job.” Taking aim at the BJP, he said, “In 2014, the BJP had promised to provide two crore government jobs every year, but that promise was never fulfilled. Today, inflation and corruption are at their peak. Everything the BJP says remains only in the air.”
Rajiv Shukla also raised questions on the impartiality of the Election Commission and alleged that the Commission is not working in a completely impartial manner.
