Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday offered prayers at the Khatu Shyam temple in Rajasthan’s Sikar and expressed confidence that the BJP will win around 100 seats in the state assembly elections.
Speaking to reporters, Sarma rejected the allegations made by Congress leader Pawan Kheda as baseless and “false” and said the matter would be dealt with as per law.
Congress leader Pawan Kheda alleged on April 5 that Sarma’s wife had multiple passports and offshore properties.
He told reporters, “I am hopeful that the BJP will perform even better in the state than before. I believe that the BJP will return with very good results, which will be even better than before. Out of 126 seats, we can win around 90 to 100 seats.”
“This is a temple, and I don’t want to get involved in politics here,” he said.
However, Photoshop and Artificial Intelligence were used to make false allegations. He further said that the law will take its course.
He said that he keeps visiting Khatu Shyam Temple regularly. “I came here after the elections were over and will now go to Salasar Balaji temple,” he said.
