Bhopal, July 11 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has intensified preparations for the Datia Assembly by-election in Madhya Pradesh. In this connection, senior party leader Narottam Mishra met Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, BJP State President and MLA Hemant Khandelwal and Regional Organization General Secretary Ajay Jamwal at the Chief Minister’s residence.
During the meeting, the strategy, organizational issues and election preparations for Datia by-election were discussed in detail. The party leaders emphasized that the organization is paramount and all workers will stand with the party’s decision with full commitment.
After the meeting, BJP said that some workers had expressed their emotional resignation regarding candidate selection in Datia by-election, but the organization has not received any formal resignation. The party has made it clear that the resignation of any worker will not be accepted.
The BJP organization has appealed to all the workers to unite and participate in the election campaign. The party says that all the workers will work with enthusiasm and dedication to make BJP candidate Ashutosh Tiwari victorious with huge votes. BJP leaders claimed that the party will win the Datia by-election by a record number of votes.
At the same time, BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal released a video message saying, “The party has made Ashutosh Tiwari the candidate for the Datia by-election. After the declaration of the candidate, there was information about some workers resigning out of emotion, but the resignation of any worker has not reached them.”
Khandelwal said, “The BJP organization has decided that the resignation of any worker will not be accepted. Under the guidance of senior party leader Narottam Mishra, all the workers will contest the elections together and try to achieve a big victory on the Datia seat.”
Let us tell you that Datia by-election is being considered important for BJP. While the party is emphasizing on maintaining the unity of the organization, Congress has also entered the electoral fray with its candidate. The election activities of both the major parties are likely to intensify in the coming days.
