Hyderabad, March 17 (IANS). Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party has issued a notice to former MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy seeking his reply regarding the allegations of taking drugs in the party. Also advised not to attend party programs.
The letter from BRS, addressed to Rohit Reddy, reads, “It has come to the notice of the party high command through various media reports and other credible information that there have been allegations of drug abuse at a meeting organized by you in the Hyderabad area. This news has been widely circulated in the media and has created serious concern among the party and the public.
Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi Party believes in adhering to legal norms and ethical values as a responsible political organization. The Party completely opposes illegal activities, especially drug abuse or any connection with them. The allegations of your presence and involvement in the above incident have not only seriously tarnished the reputation of the Party but are also likely to damage the credibility and credibility of the Party.”
The letter further reads, “As per the instructions of Party President KCR, please submit a detailed written explanation clearly stating your response to the allegations made by the media within 7 days from the date of receipt of this notice.”
Soma Bharat Kumar, in-charge of party disciplinary matters, has advised Rohit Reddy not to participate in party programs.
The letter reads, “You (Rohit) are directed to refrain from participating in party functions and official activities until the party leadership thoroughly investigates the matter and takes a final decision. If you fail to submit satisfactory explanation within the time limit of this notice, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against you as per the party constitution and rules without any prior notice.”
