Amravati, July 22 (IANS). Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Wednesday. During this he invited the Prime Minister to inaugurate the Bhogapuram International Airport.
Civil Aviation Minister K. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with Ram Mohan Naidu and TDP parliamentary party leader Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House.

The Chief Minister said that this airport, named after the great freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju, has honored his courage, sacrifice and patriotism.
The TDP president said that under the visionary and reform-based leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, there has been a major change in India’s civil aviation sector.
Chandrababu Naidu said, “Prime Minister Modi’s vision of making air travel easy and affordable is fulfilling the dream of millions of people to travel by air. The opening of Bhogapuram Airport will give a new impetus to the development of North Andhra. This will boost connectivity, tourism, trade and economic activities. Under his leadership, India is moving rapidly towards the goal of ‘Developed India’. Andhra Pradesh is also committed to play an important role in this campaign by making ‘Golden Andhra Pradesh’.”
The Chief Minister had earlier announced that the Bhogapuram airport would be inaugurated on August 1.
Along with the inauguration of the passenger terminal building, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the GMR Skill Development Centre, Aviation Hub-University and GMR-Manassas Education City.
The Chief Minister described this airport as an important project for North Andhra. He said that it will develop as a logistics hub, provide better connectivity globally and play a big role in the economic progress of Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to give the opportunity of free air travel once as a mark of respect to the farmers and land owners who donated land for this project.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to make elaborate arrangements for the smooth organization of the program. He asked to make arrangements for traffic diversion, separate parking system and tight security. Besides, instructions were also given to provide all necessary facilities for the people coming to the programme.
