Patna, March 8 (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday inaugurated the tunnel connecting Bihar Museum and Patna Museum at a cost of Rs 542 crore. The Chief Minister started the work by pressing the button of the construction machine.
During this, the Chief Minister gave detailed information to the officials regarding the process of construction of the tunnel and its completion. During the inauguration of the under-construction Museum Sub-way Tunnel located at Ghartiki Mor near Nehru Path, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to complete this construction work in a better way and at the earliest.
He said that with its construction, people will be able to easily go from one place to another and observe the exhibits in Bihar Museum and Patna Museum. There will be a significant increase in the number of tourists. He also directed the officials to make proper arrangements for parking. After this the Chief Minister toured the Bihar Museum.
The Chief Minister took information regarding the construction work of 60 residences and officers hostel campus and park being redeveloped in front of Bihar Museum and inspected the site. Arrangements for solar parking shed, open parking, club house etc. will be ensured in the new premises of the building to be constructed here.
Nitish gave instructions to get all the work done in time. He said that its construction will provide convenience to the people. During this period, the Chief Minister also inspected the site of the Patna Museum end of the tunnel connecting Bihar Museum and Patna Museum and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Director General of Bihar Museum Anjani Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Vinay Kumar were also present. Let us inform that the Chief Minister had also inspected various development works on Saturday and had given instructions to complete them soon.
