New Delhi, May 24 (IANS). Former Chief Minister of Delhi and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the Chief Ministers of other states including BJP ruled ones to make the bus service free for the students appearing for NEET in their respective states.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had recently announced that students appearing for NEET will be given relief in bus fare. Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had shared this information by sharing a video. After this, the Chief Ministers of Haryana and Bihar also announced to make the bus service free.

Kejriwal on Sunday shared a video of about one minute on the social media platform

He said that I am happy to see that Bihar and Haryana have followed the path of Punjab in this matter. It is expected that other Chief Ministers will also do the same.

Regarding NEET, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary wrote in a post on X that for the convenience of all the candidates appearing in NEET, travel in all government buses of Bihar will be free. Also, the district administration, all the monasteries, temples and non-government organizations of the state are requested to cooperate in arranging drinking water, sattu etc. for the candidates and their parents at bus stands, railway stations and other important places. Best wishes to all the candidates for the examination.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has announced free travel on Haryana Roadways for NEET candidates on June 20 and 21. Students will be able to travel for free by showing their NEET admit card. The Chief Minister said that the success of all the young students is the priority of the government and he wished the students to take the examination with all their heart.

Let us tell you that allegations of paper leak and irregularities were revealed in NEET UG held on 3 May 2026, after which the whole matter gained momentum. The initial investigation by the agencies raised questions about the fairness of the examination process. On this basis, the decision was taken to cancel the examination and now it will be conducted afresh.
