Congress has harmed the country’s security by depriving the North-East of development: PM Modi

New Delhi, December 20 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the northeastern state of Assam on Saturday. During this, he inaugurated the new terminal of the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport located in Guwahati. Along with this, the Prime Minister talked to party leaders at the Assam BJP headquarters. The Prime Minister shared this information on social media platform X.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on Twitter that he visited Assam BJP headquarters and talked to party colleagues. Discussed ways to deepen the party’s connect with the public and work towards fulfilling their aspirations.

He said today is a special day for Guwahati as the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport got a new terminal. This new terminal will boost the local economy as well as encourage tourism. The emphasis on technological innovation as well as establishing a connection with nature and transportation is also highly commendable.

Prime Minister Modi said that the statue of popular Gopinath Bordoloi was unveiled at Guwahati airport today. His exemplary life and his unique contribution to the progress of Assam will always inspire the coming generations.

Attacking the Congress, he said that by depriving Assam and the North-Eastern region of development, the Congress government has committed a sin which has caused deep damage to the country’s security. Our efforts in the last 10-11 years have ensured that the resources of Assam are utilized only in the interest of the people there.

He said that today Assam has become a new gateway for development and tourism of the entire North-East India. Ganga Vilas Cruises sailing from Varanasi to Dibrugarh has put North-East India on the global cruise tourism map.

PM Modi on Saturday inaugurated the new terminal of the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport located in Guwahati, Assam. This new terminal will strengthen Assam’s air connectivity as well as give a new impetus to economic development and global connectivity.

PM Modi posted on the social media platform ‘X’ and wrote, “The new terminal building of the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport will boost connectivity, commerce and tourism in entire Assam and the entire North-East.”
