New Delhi/Patna, April 10 (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will take membership as Rajya Sabha member on Friday. Meanwhile, the stir regarding his resignation and the new Chief Minister of Bihar has intensified. JDU leaders have claimed that a decision regarding resignation will be taken in two-four days.

Speaking to reporters in Delhi on Friday, Bihar government minister and JDU leader Vijay Chaudhary said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had filed nomination for Rajya Sabha and won. After this he will take oath as a Rajya Sabha member today.”

Regarding resignation from the post of Chief Minister, Vijay Chaudhary said, “Nitish Kumar will go back to Patna after taking oath. There will be a meeting there and a decision regarding resignation will be taken in two-four days.” He also said that the next Chief Minister will be the one who will be chosen as the leader of the NDA legislature party. A decision regarding this will be taken in a few days.

At the same time, JDU’s national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad said while talking to IANS, “Nitish Kumar is completely confident about the new innings as a member of Rajya Sabha. He has indicated that major decisions will be taken in three-four days. It is certain that after the meeting of the NDA legislative party in the coming days and the selection of the new leader, all the decisions in Bihar will be taken only with the consent of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.”

Bihar government minister and BJP leader Ram Kripal Yadav also gave his reaction. He said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will take the oath of Rajya Sabha and serve the country. Till now, he has served both the state and the country. Under his guidance, the new NDA government will be formed and will run in Bihar.”

Regarding the next Chief Minister of Bihar, Ram Kripal Yadav said, “Our leaders will decide who will be the face and who will be the next Chief Minister. Everyone will know about this soon.”

JDU MLA Jayant Raj Kushwaha said, “He has already been elected to the Rajya Sabha and today it is just a formality. He will take oath today.” He further said, “You can see how much progress Bihar has made in the last 20 years. The tenure of the Chief Minister will be remembered in the coming 20-25 years also.”
