New Delhi, November 10 (IANS). Vice President CP Radhakrishnan expressed deep grief over the blast in Delhi on Monday night. 10 people have died in this incident, while approximately the same number of people are said to be injured.
The Vice President expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families on social media and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
“Deeply saddened by the explosion in Delhi this evening. Heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” it posted on the Vice President’s official account.
After the blast, security has been tightened in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand and Haryana.
Home Minister Amit Shah reached the blast site near Gate No. 1 of Red Fort metro station at around 9:45 pm and inspected the incident site.
He interacted with Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and NIA officials, after which he reached the hospital and spent about 30 minutes with the victims.
It is noteworthy that Jammu and Kashmir Police this morning busted an inter-state international terrorist module linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind terrorist organizations, after which 2,900 kg of explosives, two assault rifles, pistols, timers and other material were recovered in Faridabad area of Haryana near New Delhi. Police said that seven people have been arrested so far.
