New Delhi, April 9 (IANS). Delhi Social Welfare and SC/ST/OBC Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh has announced several programs from Friday to April 14. These programs will be organized as part of the celebrations to mark the 136th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
He invited all the citizens to participate in the program and said that this year Baba Saheb’s birth anniversary will be celebrated in a grand and enthusiastic manner in Delhi.
Delhi Social Welfare Minister Ravinder Indraj Singh said that its main attraction will be ‘Bhim Jyoti Utsav’, which will be organized in Kasturba Gandhi Marg area near India Gate. Here literary material related to Baba Saheb and important aspects of his life will be displayed through a special gallery.
He said that those coming to the program will get an opportunity to understand the life, thoughts and struggles of Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Along with this, folk-cultural programs, presentations and various activities will be organized, through which their ideas will be conveyed to the public.
The minister said that this platform will reflect the spirit of national unity. Sages, saints, social workers, intellectuals and people working for social harmony from across the country will participate in this program.
He said that Baba Saheb’s basic message was ‘Nation First’ and he always gave priority to national interest.
He told that he appealed to the public to participate in large numbers in this program organized from April 10 to April 14.
He informed that under ‘Bhim Jyoti Utsav-2026’, large scale programs will be organized at various places in the capital, in which participation of all sections of the society will be ensured.
This event will not be just a celebration but a comprehensive campaign to spread the ideas of Baba Saheb, the values of the Constitution and the message of social harmony. It will include floral tributes, public participation activities, “Samvidhan Mahotsav”, exhibitions, awareness campaigns, cultural presentations, walkathons, dialogue sessions, workshops, quizzes and art exhibitions aimed at making the youth and students aware about the Constitution, their rights and duties.
