Udhampur, June 12 (IANS). On the occasion of completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government, BJP organized ‘Vikas Bharat Sankalp Sammelan’ in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. Union Minister of State Dr. Jitendra Singh attended the program as the chief guest and inaugurated the conference.
During the program, a special plantation campaign was also conducted giving the message of environmental protection. On this occasion, Jitendra Singh himself started the campaign by planting saplings.
BJP Udhampur District President Arun Gupta, Udhampur West MLA Pawan Kumar Gupta, Udhampur East MLA R.S. were present at the conference. Pathania and Ramnagar MLA Dr. Sunil Bhardwaj was also present.
All the leaders shared information about the development works done in their respective assembly constituencies and gave credit for these achievements to the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Addressing the gathering, Jitendra Singh said that there has been a major change in the governance system of the country in the last 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He said that the government has worked by keeping transparency, accountability and public interest at the center, which has strengthened the trust of the people.
Jitendra Singh also mentioned several major schemes and initiatives of the Central Government. He said that efforts have been made to improve the lives of common citizens through infrastructure development, public welfare schemes, digital empowerment and various reforms.
Referring specifically to Jammu and Kashmir, he said that unprecedented development has been witnessed here in the last 12 years. Better road and transport connectivity, expansion of health facilities, new opportunities for education and faster implementation of development projects have changed the face of the region.
Jitendra Singh called upon BJP workers to work continuously to take the achievements of the government to every home and realize the goal of a developed India.
