Amravati, June 14 (IANS). Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh said on Sunday that the development work of the state capital Amaravati is going on in full swing.
Nara Lokesh posted on social media platform ‘X’ and said, “Development work is in full swing in Amravati and it is not being stopped.”
He also shared a video, which shows the rapid work going on on projects in Amravati.
It is visible in the video that work is going on non-stop in Amravati.
It became clear that no work has stopped due to rain. It has been said that no one can stop Amravati. In this video, glimpses of the work being done on the Iconic Towers, Assembly, High Court, Roads, Reservoirs, MLA-MLC Towers, AIS Towers, Secretaries’ Bungalows, GO Towers, NGO Towers, Group D Towers, Happy Nest and Ministers’ Bungalows are shown.
Through the video, an appeal has been made to the people not to believe the false propaganda about Amravati.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister P. Narayan on Saturday accused the opposition YSR Congress Party of spreading misinformation about the Amaravati projects and said such campaigns will further reduce the party’s political support.
He termed YSRCP’s allegations that too much is being spent on the state government buildings being constructed in Amravati as misleading.
Referring to the recent approval given by the Union Cabinet for the construction of central government offices in Amravati, P. Narayan said that the construction cost of the central government residential complex will be Rs 3,945 per square foot, while the Happinest Housing Project of Amravati is being built at a cost of Rs 3,393 per square foot.
He said the construction cost of residential quarters for gazetted officers is estimated to be Rs 3,684 per square foot.
He said that many of the buildings planned in Amravati are iconic structures, which naturally lead to higher construction costs.
The Minister inspected the ongoing infrastructure works in Amaravati, with special focus on canal and drainage development projects aimed at improving flood management in the capital region.
He reviewed the progress of bridge construction works on Kondaveeti Vaagu and Palavaagu.
He said that the projects are progressing rapidly and will play an important role in ensuring smooth drainage during the monsoon season.
