New Delhi, May 7 (IANS). On the occasion of the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’, many Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of states, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, have changed the picture of their social media profiles. All the leaders have put the photo of ‘Operation Sindoor’ in their profiles.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched it on the social media platform ‘X’. He changed his profile photo to ‘Operation Sindoor’ logo. After this, the Union Cabinet members changed their profile photos to ‘Operation Sindoor’ logo. These include Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal are also included.

Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states have also changed their profile photos and used the logo of ‘Operation Sindoor’. These include Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis, Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini.

Prime Minister Modi wrote on his ‘X’ post on Thursday morning, “A year ago, during ‘Operation Sindoor’, our forces displayed unparalleled courage, precision and determination. They gave a befitting reply to those who had the audacity to attack innocent Indians in Pahalgam. The entire nation salutes the bravery of our brave soldiers.”

He said ‘Operation Sindoor’ reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and its unwavering resolve to protect national security. It also highlighted the professionalism, readiness and coordinated strength of our forces. It also demonstrated the growing synergy between our forces and underlined how India’s drive to achieve self-reliance in the defense sector has strengthened our national security.

India launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the intervening night of 6-7 May, under which precise air strikes were carried out on terrorist targets located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

This military operation was carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, in which Pakistan-backed terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians on the basis of their religion. ‘The Resistance Front’, an organization associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), had claimed responsibility for this attack.
