Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday accused the Nehru-Gandhi family of running a “compromising mission” in which they prioritize personal and foreign interests over national welfare, and described Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi as a “puppet of foreign powers”.
Speaking to the media, Nabeen leveled a volley of allegations against the Nehru-Gandhi family, alleging a legacy of betrayal ranging from Tibet to Rahul Gandhi’s meetings with anti-India elements abroad.
Nabeen claimed, “I am sharing with you information about how the Gandhi family’s compromise campaign continued. The Nehru-Gandhi family has always protected its interests by compromising with the people of the country. There was a time when Nehru himself had said that 45 crore people are a burden for me. We all are aware of his relations with foreign powers. You have also seen Rahul Gandhi how he acts like a puppet of foreign powers. We all know this.” That in 1954 Nehru had handed over India’s rights in Tibet to China.”
He further said, “We all know that Nehru handed over India’s rights in Tibet to China in 1954. We all remember that the US ambassador admitted that the CIA had funded the Congress election campaign. If you look at Rajiv Gandhi’s compromise mission, you can see how he used his defense services deals to shore up his personal bank accounts.”
Nabin also accused the party of running a “parallel government” during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) rule and compromising national interests for foreign funding.
Nabeen alleged that between 2004 and 2014, Congress parliamentary speaker Sonia Gandhi exercised unconstitutional powers as a “super PM” through the National Advisory Council (NAC).
He claimed that this structure was created to bypass the official Cabinet, effectively fulfilling a “compromising mission” and undermining the authority of the then Prime Minister.
He claimed, “Sonia Gandhi, who became the super PM between 2004-14 through the National Advisory Council and ran a parallel government and cabinet. At the same time, funds were provided to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation from the Chinese government under the Samjhauta Mission.”
Turning his attention towards Rahul Gandhi, Nabeen claimed, “Rahul Gandhi goes abroad and meets anti-India people and does cheap politics in India at their behest.”
