Begusarai, 16 February (IANS). Union Minister Giriraj Singh took a dig at Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and said that the former CM has a lot of experience of corruption.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi on Monday pleaded innocent in the alleged land-for-jobs corruption case in the Railways being investigated by the CBI.
On Lalu Yadav’s statement, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that laws are equal for everyone. CBI is a constitutional institution, which works under the law. If he has found someone guilty, he must plead guilty. Who is stopping Lalu Yadav from going against this, but Lalu Yadav’s background is such that he has a lot of experience in corruption and you reap what you sow.
Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that Indi Alliance was only in name. This alliance was formed only to oppose PM Modi, but from Mamata Banerjee to Rahul Gandhi, none of the leaders has the strength.
On the action of the Election Commission in Bengal, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that Mamata Banerjee herself collects the files of scams from CBI. Now if any action is taken against her, she will say that it is because CBI is working as a BJP agent. Giriraj Singh said that the Election Commission has taken action against 7 officials of Mamata government. The commission investigated and then action was taken. Now if Mamata Banerjee will not accept this action, then which rule of the Constitution will she accept?
Giriraj Singh said that I think when she loses the Bengal elections, she will say that the Election Commission has defeated her. Mamta Banerjee has accepted defeat even before the elections, that is why she is giving meaningless statements.
