In fact, MP and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra had written a question in the Lok Sabha whether during the annual inspection of PMML in 2025, certain documents related to the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru were found missing from the museum?
In response, Culture Minister Shekhawat said, “During the annual inspection of PMML in 2025, no document related to the first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was found missing from the museum.”
The BJP had last year claimed that letters written by first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru to various personalities were taken from the Nehru Memorial Museum and Library (now PMML) to the residence of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi in 2008. He was told that these documents should be returned.
