New Delhi, November 4 (IANS). ‘Special Operations 5.0’ has set new standards. Under this program, the Government of India has received a revenue of more than four thousand crore rupees in the last 4 years. Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh gave this information on Tuesday.
The objective of ‘Special Campaign 5.0’ is to promote cleanliness, simplify work and resolve pending complaints in the PSUs of the Ministry and the organizations under it.
“Revenue of Rs 4,085 crore (from 2021) generated from waste disposal,” Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh wrote in the ‘X’ post. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for creating awareness about cleanliness in the country.
He said that cleanliness campaign was conducted at more than 9.87 lakh places, out of which the total number of cleanliness campaign places after 2021 is 21.92 lakh. During the campaign, 231.75 lakh square feet of space was vacated. Jitendra Singh also informed that more than 53.21 lakh record management files were reviewed, out of which 28.44 lakh files have been closed. 7.3 lakh public complaints and appeals were resolved.
Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship actively participated in the main phase of ‘Special Mission 5.0’. It was informed on Tuesday that more than 1836 cleanliness campaigns were conducted starting from October 2 till October 31, 2025. Additionally, three references from MPs, 7 parliamentary assurances, 307 public grievances and 27 public grievance appeals were disposed of.
The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship also informed that 1250 files were reviewed and 466 files were screened out. 658 e-files were reviewed, out of which 266 files were closed. Sorting out files and disposal of junk freed up about 4,000 square feet of space. Revenue of Rs 7.58 lakh was obtained from disposal of scrap.
The Coal Ministry has earned big money under the ‘Special Campaign 5.0’ initiative. A press release on Monday said that from October 2 to 31, the ministry exceeded its set targets and earned a total revenue of Rs 56,85,76,462 and resolved and closed 1,28,527 files.
