New Delhi, May 8 (IANS). There is an atmosphere of happiness among BJP workers and officials in West Bengal after Suvendu Adhikari was elected the leader of the legislative party. BJP leaders are congratulating Suvendu Adhikari for a new beginning in West Bengal.
BJP Mumbai President Amit Satam said, “This is a big day for the people of West Bengal and the entire India. Bharatiya Janata Party Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari is going to take oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal tomorrow.
In Mumbai, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said, “Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, a historic victory has been achieved in West Bengal. This is the victory of the people of West Bengal. I congratulate Suvendu Adhikari.”
BJP Rajya Sabha member Dinesh Sharma says, “Suvendu Adhikari is a skilled organizer. We have worked together extensively and I have seen his courage during his visits. At some places, anti-social elements of Trinamool broke our vehicle, but he along with the workers faced the violence boldly. Suvendu Adhikari is a hard-working worker and has worked with great dedication. I wish him all the best.”
Dinesh Sharma said, “With new plans, new enthusiasm, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas’ and action against goons, Bengal can become a state providing employment to youth. The government will work in this direction.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said, “The swearing-in ceremony of the West Bengal government will take place tomorrow and I heartily congratulate Suvendu Adhikari.”
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, “Suvendu Adhikari has been elected the leader of the legislature party and has also staked claim to form the government before the Governor.”
Former Union Minister and BJP leader Ajay Kumar Mishra said, “The origins of the Bharatiya Janata Party or, more precisely, its predecessor, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, were its first president, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who hailed from Kolkata. He made significant contributions to the politics of West Bengal before and after independence. In this context, the aim of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party has always been to form the government in West Bengal.
