Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Monday that the next generation GST reforms are evidence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s determination to serve the poor, youth, farmers and women.
Shah also said that new reforms will take the wheel of development of India even more on the path of becoming the most prosperous country in the world.
He said in his post on ‘X’, “The GST reform of the next generation is evidence of the determination of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to serve the poor, youth, farmers and women.”
The Home Minister said that the Modi government is increasing their income by opening a lot of opportunities for the middle class and ensuring that their savings through the GST reforms of the next generation are continuously increasing.
He said that a huge decrease in GST rates on daily need goods, healthcare products, electronic equipment and educational goods will increase their spending income and they will be encouraged to save even more.
The Home Minister said that the GST reform of the next generation, on the auspicious occasion of Navratri starting on Monday, is a gift of the Modi government for all the mothers and sisters of the country.
He said, ‘Prime Minister Modi’s promise to the countrymen regarding GST reform has come into force in the whole country from today. In this GST, taxes have been made historically cut on more than 390 items.
Shah said that unprecedented relief in GST in the fields of food and household items, home construction and material, automobile, agriculture, services, toys, sports and handicrafts, education, medical and health, insurance etc. will bring prosperity in the lives of citizens and their savings will also increase.
He said that GST is zero on many dairy products or unprecedented cuts on everyday items like soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, oil, shampoo, GST improvement of the next generation has brought gifts of happiness in every household.
