Gandhinagar, May 26 (IANS). Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Gujarat from May 28-29, during which he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of several development projects in Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency and Ahmedabad and hold organizational and review meetings.
Amit Shah will begin his program on May 28 with a series of development-related programs at various places.
During this, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Jedwa Lake developed under the CSR fund of Anandam family in Vadsar. Along with this, he will also inaugurate newly established libraries developed under the CSR initiative of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Limited in Jalandhar and Sardhav.
At Khatraaj, he will lay the foundation stone for the lake beautification works initiated by Arvind Foundation. He will also inaugurate the newly constructed Gram Panchayat office.
Other events included the inauguration of Pay Center Primary School at Moti Bhoyan, as well as laying the foundation stone and inaugurating various development works in Sonipur village and areas falling under Kalol and Gandhinagar North assembly constituencies.
During the Sonipur visit, Shah will also have lunch at the residence of former sarpanch and senior BJP worker Gandaji Thakor. After this, a meeting of senior BJP officials will be held in his presence at ‘Shri Kamalam’, the state party headquarters.
He will also inaugurate the CBSE regional office in Chandkheda area of Ahmedabad and the newly constructed hostel building in Umiadham campus of Sola.
In Ahmedabad, the newly constructed ‘Bharat Mata’ statue constructed at New Vadaj by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will be inaugurated.
This will be followed by a review meeting at the Circuit House on preparations for the Olympics, Commonwealth and World Police and Fire Games, which will be chaired by Shah.
After completion of the programs scheduled on May 28, he is expected to go to Bhuj in Kutch. The Yatra will continue on May 29, with additional events as part of the two-day program being held across Gujarat.
