The stock market, which opened with a slight gain on Tuesday, finally closed with a big jump. Today is the second consecutive day when the market has ended trading with gains. On Tuesday, the BSE Sensex closed at 76,070.84 points, registering a gain of 567.99 points (0.75 per cent). At the same time, NSE Nifty 50 index also closed at 23,581.15 points today, a rise of 172.35 points (0.74 percent). It is worth noting that on Monday the market ended trading with a gain of more than 1 percent. Yesterday, the Sensex closed at 75,502.85 points—a rise of 938.93 points (1.26 per cent)—while the Nifty closed at 23,408.80 points, a rise of 257.70 points (1.11 per cent).
Tremendous rise in Eternal’s shares
On Tuesday, out of 30 Sensex listed companies, shares of 20 companies closed in the green with gains, while shares of the remaining 10 companies closed in the red with losses. Similarly, for Nifty 50, shares of 34 out of 50 companies closed in the green with gains, while the remaining 16 companies closed in the red with losses. Among Sensex constituents, Eternal’s share price witnessed the biggest rise today, closing with a gain of 5.70 per cent, while Infosys’ share price witnessed the biggest decline, closing with a rise of 1.37 per cent. Among other Sensex companies, Tata Steel shares closed with a gain of 4.41%. After this Mahindra & Mahindra 3.12%, BEL 2.39%, L&T 2.29%, Bharti Airtel 2.13%, Maruti Suzuki 1.88%, IndiGo 1.55%, ICICI Bank 1.25%, Axis Bank 1.18%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 1.16%, Trent 1.14%, Asian Paints 1.10%, HDFC Bank 0.64%, Sun Pharma 0.46%, Tech Mahindra 0.33%, NTPC 0.30%, UltraTech Cement 0.14%, Reliance Industries 0.10%, and Power Grid closed with gains of 0.05%.
These Sensex shares closed with losses
On the other hand, shares of Bajaj Finance closed 1.17% lower. After this, ITC closed with a fall of 1.05%, TCS 0.69%, Adani Ports 0.65%, HCL Tech 0.58%, Hindustan Unilever 0.32%, State Bank of India 0.24%, Titan 0.19%, and Bajaj Finserv 0.07%.
