Patna, April 13 (IANS). Politics has intensified in Bihar regarding the name of the new Chief Minister. BJP will finalize the name of CM under the leadership of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Meanwhile, in the name of CM, Janata Dal (United) working president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha said that whatever decision is taken at the party and alliance level, it will be accepted.
Amidst the latest developments in Bihar politics, Sanjay Kumar Jha, while talking to news agency IANS, said, “Everything is going smoothly. There is no problem anywhere. Everything is going as per plan. Soon the name of the new CM may be revealed to everyone.”
On the ongoing discussions regarding the selection of the new Chief Minister, Sanjay Jha said that the process is progressing systematically. He expressed confidence that whatever decision will be taken at the party and alliance level, it will be in the interest of the state. His statement indicates that the JDU leadership is engaged in keeping the situation controlled and balanced internally.
At the same time, Sanjay Kumar Jha also gave his reaction regarding the special session of Parliament and the Women’s Reservation Bill. He said that the three-day special session of Parliament is going to prove to be historic. Taking aim at the Congress, Jha said that when they had the opportunity while in power, they did not take concrete steps in this direction whereas now they are criticizing it.
Referring to the letter sent by Prime Minister Modi, Jha called it one of the important moments after independence. He said that this initiative will prove to be a big step towards empowering the women of the country and all political parties should support it. According to him, women’s participation will increase in the policy making and decision making process.
Responding to Sonia Gandhi’s statement, Sanjay Jha raised the question that if this issue was already decided, then why was it not implemented during the Congress government. He reminded that when Nitish Kumar was at the Centre, he had played an active role in supporting this bill.
Sanjay Jha said that under the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’, a provision of one-third reservation will be made in the Lok Sabha and Assemblies, which is planned to be implemented from 2029.
