Patna, January 13 (IANS). Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) MP Arun Bharti has given a sharp reaction to the ongoing debates in Bihar politics. Commenting on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement of visiting Ayodhya and visiting Ram temple, he called it a positive step. However, he also said that opposition parties should not use it for political gains.
Arun Bharti said, “Rahul Gandhi will go to Ayodhya and have darshan of Ram Lalla, it is a good thing, but Raj Thackeray has warned the people of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to be careful. Such statements affect social harmony.” Referring to the statements of Mehbooba Mufti and other opposition leaders, he said that everyone should exercise restraint on issues of national unity.
Regarding ED’s allegations against TMC, Arun Bharti said that the investigating agencies work within the ambit of law. He said, “TMC claims that ED is stealing data on the pretext of raids, but these allegations are being made without any evidence. There should be transparency in the investigation, but it is wrong to make baseless allegations against the agencies.”
The MP expressed deep concern over the issue of atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh. He said, “Hindus are being killed continuously in Bangladesh. There are reports of killing of nine people so far. The international community should pay attention to this. The Indian government should ensure the safety of Hindu refugees on humanitarian grounds.”
Arun Bharti satirized Tej Pratap Yadav’s Dahi-Chuda banquet invitation. He said, “Jan Shakti Dal supremo Tej Pratap Yadav is inviting a few ministers of BJP for Dahi-Chuda, but not those of LJP (R). This is a political message, but everyone should participate in cultural events.”
Arun Bharti took a strong stance on Purnia MP Pappu Yadav’s comments on Union Minister Giriraj Singh. He said, “No public representative should use such language against another. Dignity and restraint are necessary while holding a constitutional post. Protest should be done within decorum.”
Arun Bharti hit back at Shakti Yadav’s claim of Rs 3 lakh crore loan on Bihar. He said, “Taking a loan is not a crime, but misuse of funds is a crime. The allegations against the Lalu family in the previous government point towards this. Loan is fine for development, but transparency is necessary.”
