Patna, December 3 (IANS). Controversy continues over Jamiat-Ulema-Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Madani calling Jihad important for the country. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar on Wednesday targeted Maulana Madani.
JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, while talking to news agency IANS, said, “It is important to be an Ambedkarite for the country, not a jihadi and a fanatic. If you become an Ambedkarite and take oath on the Constitution of the country, then all-religion harmony will be maintained.”
Neeraj Kumar said, where is the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav? Did the massive public mandate spell disaster for Tejashwi Yadav in the form of a wave? He is making his point in the form of havoc. We want that there should be a leader of the opposition in the House. He took the oath, but what is the reason for not being in the House? It is wrong for Rashtriya Janata Dal to say that ‘everyone is brilliant’.
He said that the opposition has a monopoly on issues like SIR, but according to my basic understanding, the constitutional process of a constitutional body like the Election Commission should not be questioned. We can understand that Parliament can debate electoral reforms, but the right to debate the procedure of an Election Commission should not be in the rules of conduct of business. This is the prerogative of the speaker.
On the controversial statement given by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy regarding the number of Hindu Gods and Goddesses, he said, “Revanth Reddy is a Chief Minister. The comment he has made is sad. The allies of the India Grand Alliance should open their mouths on this subject. Are comments made on the Gods and Goddesses of any religion? Ram is Rahim, Rahim is Ram, such is the wonderful tradition of the country. The leaders of the opposition parties should say that they agree with Reddy’s statement. Agree or disagree.”
