Expressing concern over the air pollution situation in the national capital, Congress Parliamentary Party chief Sonia Gandhi on Thursday said it is the responsibility of the government to do something to deal with it.
Sonia Gandhi demonstrated with opposition MPs in the Parliament complex, demanding a discussion on the air pollution situation in the winter session.
The former Congress president told reporters, “It is the responsibility of the government to do something.” Small children suffering from asthma are not able to breathe, there are many elderly people like me, it is difficult for them too.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the situation of air pollution. “Enjoy which season,” he said. Look outside to see what the situation is, like Sonia ji said that small children are not able to breathe.” He claimed that the situation is worsening every year, but no concrete steps are taken. Priyanka said that there is a need to take concrete steps.
