Chandigarh, June 5 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab’s newly appointed state president Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon met BJP national president Nitin Naveen at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Friday. On this occasion, BJP National Secretary and co-in-charge MLA of Punjab Sardar Narendra Singh Raina and State Organization General Secretary Manthari Srinivasulu were also present.
Dhillon expressed his gratitude to the National President for handing over the command of Punjab BJP to him and assured that he will take every section of the party along and strengthen the organization by coordinating with the leaders, officials and workers across Punjab.
He expressed confidence that with the guidance of the national leadership and collective efforts of the workers, BJP will emerge as a strong political force in Punjab and BJP government will be formed in the state after the assembly elections to be held in February 2027. During the meeting, the welfare of farmers of Punjab, creating employment opportunities for the youth and BJP’s strategy to form government in the assembly elections of 2027 were discussed in detail.
Dhillon said that BJP is fully committed to making Punjab the best state in the country and will work day and night to serve the people. He assured the National President that in the coming days a special campaign will be launched across the state to strengthen the organization up to the booth level.
A special highlight of the meeting was when Kewal Singh Dhillon presented the portrait of ‘Sher-e-Punjab’ Maharaja Ranjit Singh to the National President and shared information about the glorious achievements and history of his ‘Sarkar-e-Khalsa’ rule. Dhillon said that taking inspiration from the just, people-friendly and inclusive rule of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, the shape and development outline of the future BJP government in Punjab was discussed.
He said that the BJP leadership expressed confidence that the party will move forward taking every section of the society along with it and ensure a golden, prosperous and progressive future for Punjab.
