New Delhi, 6 October (IANS). Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP national president JP Nadda and other leaders greeted the Kojgara festival on Monday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote in the social media platform X post that a very happy Kojgara to all the people of Mithila area. This symbol of beauty, love and pleasant married life became the medium of welfare of the festival. I wish Goddess Lakshmi and Chandradev for prosperity and good fortune.

BJP national president JP Nadda wrote in the X post that I wish all the Mithila dwellers of ‘Kojgara’ festival. This holy folk of splendor, prosperity and prosperity brought happiness in everyone’s life. The grace of Dhanadevi Mata Lakshmi, Lord Krishna and Chandradev ji should always remain on everyone.

Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary wrote in the X post that all Maithili families wishes to the family members of Lokparva Kojagara. With the grace of mother Lakshmi and Chandradev, this auspicious night should fill the light of prosperity, good fortune and happiness in everyone’s life. This festival symbolizes beauty, love and sweet marriage, convey the message of Mithila’s tradition, faith and bliss to every household.

JDU MP Sanjay Jha has written in his X post that on the auspicious occasion of Sharad Purnima and Mithila’s Lokparva Kojagra, heartfelt greetings to everyone. We pray to Maa Lakshmi that the life of the newlyweds should be full of a happy married life and all Mithila dwellers should get the blessings of happiness, prosperity and good health.

Please tell that Kojgara festival is very important in Mithila. It is not only religious, but also socially and culturally, Mithila residents have been celebrating this special festival for years. This festival shows the deep faith of Mithila towards nature, love and prosperity.

In Mithila, newly married women are specially decorated on this day and participate in worship with their husbands. This is an opportunity to make the beginning of their married life auspicious and happy. On this day a special banquet is organized in which close relatives are called. According to the tradition of Mithila, guests are also given makhana and paan after meals.

This tradition is still alive in many areas of Mithila.
