Ahmedabad, April 28 (IANS). BJP has got a decisive victory in the local body elections of Gujarat. On this, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said that as a result of the hard work of every worker, a lotus has blossomed in the entire state.

Addressing the victory ceremony organized in Ahmedabad, Bhupendra Patel expressed his gratitude to the people of the state. He said that this victory is a victory of public trust in BJP and positive politics of development. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat has once again supported the politics of development.

The Chief Minister said, “During the Vikas Sankalp meetings, road shows and public relations programs held in districts, taluks and cities, the mood of the people was clear that even before voting, they had made up their mind to ensure BJP’s victory. With the resolve of a developed India by 2047, the resolve of a developed Gujarat at every level, from villages to cities, has been further strengthened by this massive mandate.”

Patel said that BJP has always kept its development work in front of the public and for development based governance, the party has to go among the public on the basis of its work.

Emphasizing on responsibility, he said that with this grand victory our responsibility has also increased and we will continue the service work with transparency, enthusiasm and dedication, keeping the interest of the last person at the center. He said that good governance policies, public welfare schemes and programs have been appreciated by the public, which has resulted in this historic victory.

BJP State President Jagdish Vishwakarma gave credit for this result to both governance and ground work. He said, “This victory is the result of public welfare schemes implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 365 days of service and dedication of BJP workers.”

He said the public has supported the party’s leadership and development agenda across the state.

He said that BJP has won all 15 municipal corporations, 33 out of 34 district panchayats and 76 out of 84 municipalities in the state.

Taking a dig at the opposition, he said, “The public has rejected those who appear only at election time and such elements will be eliminated in the 2027 assembly elections as well.”

Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Shanghvi, MLAs, party officials, newly elected representatives and workers were also present in the victory ceremony.
