New Delhi, June 8 (INS). Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge and MP Rahul Gandhi have expressed condolence on the demise of party secretary and former in-charge of Indian Youth Congress Suraj Hegde. Kharge said that his deepest condolences to his family, friends and supporters in this difficult time. May God give them the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi expressed grief over the demise of Congress leader Suraj Hegde.
Mallikarjun Kharge wrote on social media platform ‘X’ on Monday, “I am deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of Suraj Hegde. He was a young and promising leader, who served the party with full dedication as Congress Secretary.”
Kharge said, “Sooraj was very close to my family and I knew him since his teenage days. It was truly a pleasure to see him grow as a committed leader and completely dedicated to the organization. He made a huge contribution to the Youth Congress, carrying forward the rich legacy and values of Devraj Urs with integrity and commitment. My deepest condolences to his family, friends and supporters at this difficult time. May God give him the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.” Do it.”
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wrote in the ‘X’ post, “Deeply saddened by the demise of Suraj Hegde. As Congress Secretary and former in-charge of the Indian Youth Congress, he worked with deep faith in the ideals of the party. Youth Congress was not just a responsibility for him. He guided young Indians who today carry forward the Congress’s commitment to justice and democracy.”
Rahul Gandhi wrote, “His (Suraj Hegde) demise is an irreparable loss to the Congress family. My condolences to his family, his colleagues and all the Congress workers on whose lives he had a deep impact.”
Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar also condoled the demise of Suraj Hegde. He said, “I am deeply shocked to hear the news of the sudden demise of my colleague Suraj Hegde. He was Congress Secretary, Vice President of Karnataka Congress and Vice President of the State Guarantee Committee. His contribution in strengthening the Congress Party through organizational skills and public concern is unmatched. Today we have lost such an active leader who always had good relations with the workers.”
