Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that the Narendra Modi government is committed to eliminating all types of narcotics from the country and is making every effort to achieve this goal.

Addressing the second national conference of the anti -drug work force (ANTF) heads of states and union territories, he also said that the time has come to change the scale of action against the threat of drugs so that more successes are found in the coming days.

The conference organized by the Bureau of Control Bureau (NCB) began here on Tuesday.

The Home Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has targeted to make India a fully developed and great nation by 2047. He said that the country will have to be completely safe to realize this dream of Prime Minister Modi.

Shah said, “The Modi government is committed to ending the threat of drugs from the country and is making every effort to achieve this goal.” He said, “Prime Minister Modi has kept an approach to building an India by 2047 which will be the number one and fully developed country in the world in every aspect – a safe nation that can not distinguish. For this, our youth are the greatest expectations, and if they are determined, nothing is impossible, because they are the foundation of any nation. ”

Shah said that in some parts of the world, people have seen a relationship between the development of the nation and the challenge of drug abuse. He said, “Unfortunately, two areas that supply drugs around the world are very close to us. So this is the time to fight against it firmly. ”

The Home Minister said that to achieve the goal of a fully developed India, it is very important to protect the younger generation from intoxication. Shah said that the foundation of any great state is its younger generation.

Shah said that there are three types of narcotics gangs – one, which works at all entry points in the country, the other are those who distribute from entry point to state, and third are those that sell intoxicants in small shops.

The Home Minister said, “The time has come to give a shock to these three types of gangs. I believe this is possible only when officers working against drugs decide to take strict action against them. ”Shah also started the process of destroying drugs worth Rs 4,794 crore in different parts of the country.

On Monday, Shah had said that the Modi government is committed to eliminate the threat of drugs by uniting all ANTF (anti -drug work force). He also released the annual report of NCB 2024.
