Mumbai, June 5 (IANS). On the occasion of World Environment Day, a grand cyclothon was organized by BJP Yuva Morcha Mumbai on Friday at the National Park in Borivali. The objective of this program was to promote the culture of cycling among Mumbaikars and spread awareness about environmental protection.
On this occasion, BJP Mumbai President and MLA Amit Satam said that today the whole world is facing serious challenges like energy crisis and climate change. In such a situation, there is a need to make environmental protection a mass movement. He said that green transport system like Metro has been started in Mumbai and now it is necessary to promote the use of bicycles for short distance journeys. He said that cycling can become an effective means of reducing pollution and combating the threat of global warming. Through this Cyclothon, people are being motivated to adopt a healthy lifestyle as well as to protect the environment.
During the program, Amit Satam also spoke about Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming India’s longest serving elected Prime Minister on June 10. He said that Prime Minister Modi has been continuously receiving blessings and support from the people of the country. Expressing confidence in his leadership, working style and dedication towards development, the public has repeatedly given him the opportunity to serve the country. Public support is the biggest strength in a democratic system and the widespread public support received by Prime Minister Modi is a proof of his work, leadership ability and his commitment towards the development of the country. The longest tenure as an elected Prime Minister is also going to be recorded in the name of Prime Minister Modi.
At the same time, BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been leading the country since 2014 and on June 10, he will set a new record as the longest serving Prime Minister. He said that Modi ji has always given top priority to poor welfare, national interest and development.
Upadhyay further said that even in challenging circumstances like the Corona epidemic, the Prime Minister remained active and continued leading the country. He said that he never saw Prime Minister Modi getting tired or falling ill and wished him good health and long life.
