Bhopal, 18 September (IANS). The festival of Navratri is near and Garba and other events are going to be celebrated all over the country. But in the meantime, the political uproar over garba in Madhya Pradesh has intensified due to the participation of the Muslim community.
Reacting to the statements of BJP leaders, Congress leader Arif Masood said that before the festivals of BJP, the BJP deliberately makes such statements, which worsens the atmosphere.
He appealed to the Muslim community to avoid going to Garba pandals so that there is no dispute.
Talking to IANS, the Congress leader said that the BJP deliberately makes such rhetoric during festivals like Navratri which causes tension in the social environment. He said that Navratri is a festival of happiness and people worship with reverence, but the people of BJP see the debate even during the festival.
He suggested to the Muslim community that the Muslim community should avoid joining garba events. They argue that this can avoid any possible dispute or stress, especially when some organizations are already giving air to the issue.
However, he also said that if the Garba Organizing Committee invites someone, no one else should have objections in it. However, he has also appealed to take precautions.
Explain that the Bajrang Dal workers have submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate and demanded a ban on the entry of the Muslim community in the Garba/Dandiya programs. Last year, such a demand was also made. In many places, the entry of Muslim community people was even banned.
After the recent love jihad case in Bhopal, it is also expected that the entry of Muslims in Garba-Pandals will be banned. Some BJP leaders in Bhopal have intensified the voice of banning the entry of Muslims in garba-pandals.
