New Delhi, October 28 (IANS). BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana said on Special Intensive Review (SIR) that what problem does Congress-RJD have with SIR? Why is the entire opposition so upset?
The BJP MP said that the votes of all Indian citizens above 18 years of age will be added. The names of those who have died will be removed. Those who are citizens of India will cast their votes. The votes of those who have migrated will be cast at one place only. Those whose votes could not be cast, their votes will be cast. The one who is from outside is bound to lose his vote. What is wrong in this? We should appreciate this step of the Election Commission.
BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana called SIR necessary for the democratic system. He said that the governments of states like West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are trying to create ‘double voters’, which is unfair. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, no one can be allowed double voting in India.
On Bihar Assembly elections, Ghulam Ali Khatana said that the people of Bihar have made up their mind that they will once again form the NDA government in Bihar.
On the implementation of SIR, BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana said that in a country with such a large population and such a vast administrative system, which is unlike any other in the world, it is very important to maintain people’s trust in it. This is the foundation of democracy. Every citizen of the country will be a voter and those who are eligible to vote will vote. New voters will also be included in this. It is very important to maintain transparency and accountability, and people’s faith in democracy.
On the statement of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav regarding the Waqf law, BJP MP Ghulam Ali Khatana said that the issue is not who will throw what in the dustbin or when. The real issue is that outsiders will not tolerate mismanagement. Regarding Waqf, the country’s authorities want to make Waqf a better organization, which ensures transparency, accountability and clarity.
