Bihar minister and MLA Nitin Nabin on Monday took charge as the national working president of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and party national president JP Nadda.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva and other senior party leaders were also present on the occasion.

It is noteworthy that 45-year-old Nitin Nabin is the youngest national working president of BJP. Nabin, who has been a five-time MLA from Bihar, is currently the Road Construction Minister of the state and has previously held the charge of several departments including Urban Development and Housing and Law Department.

Nitin Nabin reached the BJP headquarters in Delhi amid a warm welcome. Slogans were raised by party workers. He paid tribute to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay at the party headquarters.

Nabeen, son of veteran BJP leader Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha, has a long organizational career as well as administrative experience within the party.

Speaking to ANI before leaving for Delhi, Nabeen expressed gratitude towards the people of Bihar and his constituency and credited their blessings for reaching the national role.

He said, “The people of my constituency blessed me. This is possible only because of their blessings.”

Naveen also acknowledged the guidance and encouragement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who entrusted him with this responsibility.

Nabeen said, “I heartily congratulate the central leadership, the Prime Minister, the Home Minister, the Defense Minister and everyone in the central leadership for giving me this opportunity. I have the blessings of the Prime Minister, and I will carry forward the guidance and leadership given by him.”

Bihar BJP president and minister Dilip Jaiswal accompanied Naveen during his departure and said appointing a young leader to an important national post gives a powerful message to the youth of the country.

He said, “Nitin Nabin is young, and this sends a message to the entire country and the youth that the BJP has appointed a 45-year-old youth to the post of national president.”
