ओडिशा: सीएम ने सरकारी कर्मचारियों को बताया

Bhubaneswar, April 23 (IANS). Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Thursday that in the administrative and governance system, public servants are the real face of the government.

Addressing the newly appointed government officials, the Chief Minister said that a government job is not just a means of livelihood, but a unique opportunity to serve the public.

On this occasion, appointment letters were distributed to a total of 4,623 candidates of seven departments. These include 4,113 candidates from School and Mass Education Department, 154 from Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, 143 from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, 77 from Steel and Mines Department, 70 from Fisheries and Animal Resource Development Department, 52 from Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department and 14 from Skill Development and Technical Education Department.

Chief Minister Majhi said that in the governance and administration system, officers and employees are the real face of the government. Our collective goal is to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person of the society. He said that people have now started realizing that this government is actually a people’s government. If work is done with this spirit, the dignity of government service will be maintained and public confidence will also increase.

Referring to providing employment to the youth in the state, he said that since June 2024, 44,082 people have been given government jobs, while about 92,000 people have got employment in the private sector.

The Chief Minister advised the newly appointed employees to work with efficiency, devotion, dedication and transparency in their work.

He said that stay away from corruption, listen to people’s problems sensitively and solve them, do not let personal views become a hindrance in work, follow government policies, be punctual and maintain etiquette and dignity at the workplace.

In the end, the Chief Minister wished the newly appointed employees a bright future and said that they should adopt the government’s zero tolerance policy towards corruption and ensure respectful behavior towards women at the workplace.
