Mumbai, June 11 (IANS). Maharashtra Minister Pratap Sarnaik has given a big statement regarding ‘Operation Tiger’. He said that this is not a temporary campaign, but a continuous process.
Speaking to reporters, Maharashtra Minister Pratap Sarnaik said, “Our ‘Operation Tiger’ goes on continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. People often hear about ‘Operation Tiger’ only through the news media, but from our point of view it is a continuous process that never stops. Whenever a worker of another political party is treated unfairly and does not get justice, he puts his trust in Eknath Shinde and the Shiv Sena party. If such a person joins our party inspired by the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray, then we consider that common party worker also a ‘Tiger’.
Along with this, giving relief to about 86,000 employees of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation and their families, dearness allowance was increased from 53 percent to 58 percent. Now it has become equal to the state government employees. Apart from this, a decision was also taken to increase the house rent allowance of the employees.
Minister Pratap Sarnaik said on social media that the corporation has more than 85,000 employees and a total workforce of about 1,00,000 people. There was a detailed discussion on the long standing demands of various employee unions. Many issues like salaries, allowances, service conditions, recruitment on vacant posts, development of bus stations and welfare schemes were discussed in depth in the meeting.
Sarnaik clarified that in future, whenever there is a revision in dearness allowance for state government employees, it will immediately be implemented on the employees of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation also. Salary arrears will be repaid in installments keeping in mind the financial situation.
Minister Sarnaik assured that positive decisions will be taken on the legitimate demands of the employees and instructions have been given to the administration to initiate necessary action.
Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Corporation Dr. Madhav Kusekar, Chief Security and Vigilance Officer Priyanka Naranvare, senior officers and representatives of employee unions from across the state were present in the meeting.
