Delhi, May 10 (IANS). BJP MPs Yogendra Chandolia and Dharambir Singh reacted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attacks on Congress over women representation, governance of opposition parties and allegations of financial mismanagement.
BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia while talking to news agency IANS said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had appealed to the opposition parties in the Lok Sabha to support the Women’s Reservation Bill. Despite this, opposition party leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav and TMC opposed the bill. The first lesson of this was learned in West Bengal, despite being a woman Chief Minister, BJP has defeated Mamata Banerjee by a huge margin. The biggest reason for Mamata’s defeat is the opposition to the Women’s Bill.”
He further said, “In the Himachal Pradesh elections, the Chief Minister made many promises. He made so many promises and lured the people. Okay, the government was formed there, but today the government does not have money to pay salaries. Rahul Gandhi is not worried about this. The condition of Karnataka is bad. Showing its true face in Tamil Nadu, Congress has left DMK and supported Vijay’s party.”
BJP MP Dharambir Singh said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi had requested the opposition parties to support the Women’s Reservation Bill and said that he will give you the credit for it. Despite this, the opposition parties did not allow the bill to be passed. Due to this, wherever elections are being held, other opposition parties including the Congress are losing. Congress will suffer further losses in the coming days.
On Congress not announcing the name of Kerala Chief Minister, BJP MP Dharambir Singh Choudhary said, “Their party is only in name. There are many factions within them. They have many groups in Delhi too, some say, ‘Make me a leader,’ and some say, ‘Make me a leader.’
The BJP MP said, “If we look at it from the administrative point of view, the Congress has not been able to form a good government in the states where it has been in power. That is why they raised slogans, but where did the money come from? Same was the situation in Himachal Pradesh. From 2014, the budget of the previous governments was only Rs 13 lakh crore, whereas the budget of the BJP government has increased to about Rs 52 lakh crore. The BJP government has stopped tax evasion.”
