'Outsiders' are trying to control Bihar, but the public will not let this happen: Tejashwi Yadav's allegation

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Monday alleged that the Election Commission is “working under the influence” of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and has not yet disclosed the number of male and female voters in the first phase of voting.

Addressing a press conference in Patna, Tejashwi said, “After the first phase of voting, the Election Commission used to release the figures immediately, but this time it was not done. The Commission has stopped working and has come under the control of Modi-Shah.

Tejashwi claimed, “A total of 208 companies have been sent for election duty in Bihar from the states where there are Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments.” He said, “68 percent of the police observers in the state have also come from BJP ruled states.”

The RJD leader said, “There is a conspiracy going on to control Bihar by ‘outsiders’, but the people of Bihar will never accept it.” Amit Shah and others want control over Bihar, but it will not be possible.

Taking aim at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tejashwi said, “The Prime Minister came to Bihar, but he did not talk on positive issues.” He neither talked about unemployment, migration, inflation or corruption.

Tejashwi said sarcastically, “I don’t know what kind of web series the Prime Minister is watching these days.” He shared his platform with people who have a criminal background – like Hulas Pandey, Anand Mohan, Sunil Pandey and Manorama Devi. Are these honest leaders?” He said, ”The Prime Minister did not say anything about leaders like Samrat Chaudhary, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal and Mangal Pandey. He also met Vipin Sharma, the main accused in the Srijan scam in Patna.

Tejashwi claimed that the Grand Alliance is going to form the government in Bihar. He said, “We will not compromise on law and order. Strict action will be taken against crime, corruption and communalism.” He said, ”The results will come on November 14 and we will take oath on November 18. All criminals will be sent to jail within two months of the formation of the government.
