People immersed in vote bank politics did not consider strengthening the country a priority: PM Modi

वोट बैंक की राजनीति में डूबे लोगों ने देश को मजबूती देना प्राथमिकता नहीं समझा : पीएम मोदी

New Delhi, February 5 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the motion of thanks on President Draupadi Murmu’s address in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday. During this he said that today my country is showing its full potential. It is only when you have economic strength, energy among your citizens for the country, and a strong eco-system, especially for manufacturing, that the world comes forward to deal with you.

He said that people engrossed in vote bank politics never considered strengthening such aspects of the country a priority. As far as the Congress Party is concerned, I want to say clearly that they neither had any thinking, nor any vision nor any willpower.

He said that the recent trade agreements will greatly benefit our youth. This includes the youth of rural and urban areas, as well as the youth of the middle class, our sons and daughters. The global market is now open to them, and new opportunities await them.

I want to assure our youth that I stand shoulder to shoulder with you, and the world is ready to welcome your talents and ambitions, he said.

PM Modi said that a lot of our energy is going into correcting their (Congress) mistakes. The world is trying to wash away the image of his time in the mind because he left the country in the same condition. And for this purpose we have laid emphasis on future-ready policy. Today you must have seen that the country is running on the basis of policy. That is why today the world is building trust in the country. Today the country has boarded the Reform Express.

He said that even the most developed countries are expelling illegal immigrants from their countries. But here, undue pressure is being put on the courts to give protection to these infiltrators… These infiltrators are depriving our youth of their rights and livelihood, and they are occupying the genuine land of the tribal communities. Yet, such people come here and preach to us!
