PM Modi Raipur speech: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new assembly of Chhattisgarh in Raipur on Saturday. He said that today when Chhattisgarh has reached an important milestone in its journey of 25 years, I have the privilege of inaugurating this new assembly for the people of the state.
Congratulating the people of Chhattisgarh and the state government on the occasion of the inauguration of the new assembly, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the vision of Chhattisgarh, the resolve to build it and then the accomplishment of that resolve, I have been a witness to the transformation of Chhattisgarh at every moment.
He said, “Today is a golden beginning for the development journey of Chhattisgarh. It is a very happy and important day for me personally. I have had a very close relationship with this land for the last several decades. As a worker, I spent a lot of time in Chhattisgarh, I got to learn a lot from here. The people here and the land here have been a great blessing in shaping my life.”
Addressing the program, PM Modi said, “Today when we are inaugurating this grand and modern assembly building, it is not just a celebration of a building, but has become a celebration of 25 years of public aspiration, public struggle and public pride. Today Chhattisgarh stands at the new pinnacle of its dream. In this glorious moment, I salute the great man whose vision and compassion established this state. That great man is Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”
Prime Minister Modi said, “In the year 2000, when Atal ji formed the state of Chhattisgarh, that decision was not just administrative. That decision was to open a new path of development. That decision was to give recognition to the soul of Chhattisgarh. Therefore, today when along with this grand assembly, the statue of Atal ji has also been unveiled, the mind says, wherever Atal ji is, see Atal ji, your dream is coming true.”
