Haridwar, May 16 (IANS). The ashes of Prateek Yadav, step brother of Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav and late husband of BJP leader Aparna Yadav, will be immersed in the holy river Ganga in Haridwar on Saturday.
BJP leader Aparna Yadav posted on social media platform X giving information about bone immersion. He wrote that the immersion of the sacred ashes of Prateek Yadav will be done at Chaudhary Charan Singh VVIP Ghat at 12:30 pm. He told loved ones that their presence and prayers would be a source of solace and strength for the family.
According to the information, the ashes of Prateek Yadav will be immersed in the Ganga with full rituals and Vedic chanting at 12:30 pm in the religious city of Haridwar. This process of bone immersion will take place at VIP Ghat, where close family members will be present. During this time, there is also a possibility of Akhilesh Yadav reaching Haridwar.
Let us tell you that on May 13, Aparna Yadav’s husband Prateek Yadav died at the age of 38. He was the step brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
On May 14, Prateek Yadav was cremated at Baikunth Dham in Bhainsakund, Lucknow. In a sad atmosphere, family, relatives and supporters bid him last farewell. Prateek Yadav’s funeral pyre was lit by his father-in-law and senior journalist Arvind Bisht. During this, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav was also present and he bid farewell to his younger brother with tearful eyes.
Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav were seen sitting on one side at the cremation ground, while Prateek Yadav’s two daughters were also present with them. Akhilesh Yadav’s son Arjun Yadav was also seen with the family. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak also attended the funeral. Before the funeral, Prateek Yadav’s last procession was taken out from his residence, in which thousands of supporters participated. Slogans of ‘Long live Prateek Yadav’ kept echoing during the yatra.
BJP leader Aparna Yadav and her late husband were recently seen together at a private family function, where both were seen touching the feet of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.
Expressing grief over the demise of Prateek Yadav, known as an animal lover, Akhilesh Yadav had said that he was a very good person. His departure is such a loss for the family, which can never be compensated.
