Paris, June 18 (IANS). French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday bid a warm farewell to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi is now going to return to India from Paris after completing a successful visit to France and Slovakia.
“It means a lot to me to spend these days with you in Nice, Evian and Paris,” Macron told PM Modi.
In response to this, PM Modi said, “Now you have to fulfill your promise. You have to come to India in February and come with a little more time.”
President Macron said, “In February I promised that I would come only for you.” Thank you, take care.” After this, both the leaders hugged each other warmly and thanked each other.
Earlier on Thursday, Macron had also recorded a special farewell video message in Hindi for Prime Minister Modi, in which the wonderful friendship between the two leaders was clearly visible.
“Dear friend Narendra, I am very happy that you came to Nice, Evian and Paris. It is a great pleasure to welcome you here. Long live the friendship between India and France,” Macron said in Hindi.
After this he talked about their friendship in English and said that I hope my Hindi was correct, but my dear Prime Minister, I want to thank you very much for your friendship. France loves you. I am very glad that you came here with many of your friends before returning to Delhi. I will come to India to meet you next February, but you are my true friend. We love you. Take care of yourself.”
On Sunday too, Macron had shared a video on social media giving a glimpse of PM Modi’s visit, in which a new Bollywood song was used. This video went viral on social media.
