President Draupadi Murmu on Friday expressed grief over the loss of lives in a bus fire in Andhra Pradesh and termed the accident as extremely unfortunate.
In a post on ‘X’, the President said, “The news of the deaths in a tragic bus fire in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh is extremely unfortunate. I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
A Hyderabad-bound private bus caught fire after colliding with a two-wheeler near Chinnatekur in Kurnool district in the early hours of Friday, killing 12 people, a police official said.
The bike rider is also included among the dead.
